Close-Up Gala

Gleb is the FISM 2022 World Champion of Originality in Close-Up Magic. A member of the
Magic Circle of Germany e.V. (MZvD), which today is one of the most prestigious and largest
associations of artists in the world. His journey in magic began at an early age in Minsk,
Belarus, where at 13, he first discovered magic. A few months later, he presented his first
magic act, featuring original tricks, and won his first award at the prestigious IFM 2017
contest in Saint Petersburg.
Following his initial success, Gleb actively created new acts, integrating elements of the local
underground music scene and his unique tricks. His performances were filled with
memorable images and talismans, leading to a rapid rise in popularity and victories at
international contests such as Minsk Magic MIF 2017, IFM 2018, RAI 2019, 2021, Club
Magico Italiano 2021.
By the age of 15, inspired by mass culture, anime, and video games, Gleb began
incorporating elements of cosplay and storytelling into his performances, creating his
interpretations based on the popular universes of J.K. Rowling and Nintendo. He presented
his acts on major TV shows and projects in Belarus and Russia. Later, he started creating
his own characters, stories, and music for his performances.
Studying media at university helped Gleb apply a transmedia approach to magic, using
various media channels to expand the context of his performances. After taking part in FISM
ECM 2021, next year, he presented "MAGEEK" at the FISM WCM 2022, an act that
combined illusionism with a storyline later developed into a dedicated book, creative use of
screens on stage, and other media content like video trailers and anime-style illustrations.
This act won him the award for “The Most Original Close-up Act”.
Today, Gleb continues to create new magic acts and develops performances for other
illusionists, showcasing his inexhaustible talent and originality in the world of magic.
